Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Choy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Choy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Scott!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott lands with a straight right. Choy didn't see that one coming.
Scott cracks Choy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Choy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Choy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Scott as he avoids it easily.

Scott feints and as Choy raises his hands in defense, Scott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Choy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Choy working for a triangle but Scott defends it easily.
Scott wants to pass the guard but Choy is keeping the position.
Scott missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Choy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Choy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Scott.
Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Choy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Choy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Scott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Scott lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scott connects with a couple of short punches.

Choy is looking for a triangle but Scott pushes his legs off easily.

Scott avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Choy keeping full guard, as Scott tries to pass.
Choy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Choy looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Choy with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth.
Choy is breathing heavily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Scott tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Choy looking to secure an arm triangle but Scott defends it well.
Scott is working to get back to half guard.

Choy is going olschool here, as he tries to force Scott to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Scott shrugs it off.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Scott tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Choy with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Scott is desperately trying to improve his position but Choy has a good base and remains in mount.
Scott wants to control but Choy is having none of it.
Scott slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Choy works his way into side control.

Choy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Choy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Scott has escaped the position, nice work there.
Scott is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Choy's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Scott looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Choy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Scott sees it coming and defends easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Scott is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Choy wants to work for an arm triangle but Scott is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Choy seems to be looking for submissions.
Choy tries to pass to full mount but Scott defends it.

Choy is trying to work for a kimura but Scott is defending well.
Choy trying to mount his opponent but Scott defends it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scott works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Choy dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Scott lands a body shot.
Choy walks into a left hand.
Eddie Choy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Choy shoots and misses

and Scott counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Choy's guard now.
Scott cracks Choy with a solid left hand.

Choy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Scott defends well.
Scott lands a couple of digs.
Scott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Choy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Scott distracts Choy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Scott works over Choy with some ground and pound from guard.
Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Choy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Choy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scott passes Choy's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Scott is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Choy defends it well.
Choy is pressing down on Scott's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Choy keeping moving, preventing Scott from controlling successfully.

Choy is looking to sinch up a triangle. Scott throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Choy's body to avoid the submission. Choy has instead reached around Scott's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Choy arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
