The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaustik wants to clinch.
Kaustik is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kaustik tries for a takedown but Strong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Strong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaustik wants to clinch up but Strong keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kaustik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kaustik fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Strong leaves Kaustik with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kaustik moves in looking to clinch but Strong pushes him off.
Strong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Strong motions for Kaustik to come forward. Strong throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kaustik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Strong but Strong pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kaustik wants to clinch up but Strong keeps it at a distance.
Kaustik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Strong walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kaustik checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Strong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kaustik.

Strong shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaustik napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Strong looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Strong is trying to get an arm triangle but Kaustik is defending well.

Strong throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Kaustik works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Strong throwing shots but Kaustik is blocking nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Strong thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
