The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AHISP shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
AHISP trying to control here.
AHISP is staying active underneath Sanchez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sanchez controlling the pace.
AHISP works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sanchez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
AHISP is looking to reverse the position.

Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
AHISP wants to control but Sanchez postures up.

Sanchez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Sanchez wants to lay and pray for a moment but AHISP keeps working.

Sanchez tries for a kimura but AHISP is defending well.

Sanchez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, AHISP has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sanchez but great work by AHISP.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sanchez is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

AHISP tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

AHISP wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sanchez, who protects the arm well.
AHISP is breathing heavily.

Sanchez gets back to half guard.
Sanchez manages to get to full guard.
Sanchez looking to control.
AHISP tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard.

Sanchez working for a triangle but AHISP defends it easily.

Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and AHISP defends well.
AHISP has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sanchez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Sanchez lands some strikes from the bottom.
Sanchez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. AHISP manages to get himself to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanchez chips away with some ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
AHISP can't keep his opponent in guard - Sanchez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Well, if Sanchez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesus Sanchez dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


AHISP gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Sanchez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! AHISP is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and AHISP manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into AHISP's guard.
Sanchez is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sanchez passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Sanchez advances to mount.

Sanchez looking to isolate an arm here. AHISP doesn't see it coming and as Sanchez extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Sanchez!
