Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ron Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huerta's entrance music is Summer of 69. A fine choice. Hunter Rose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose lands with a right hand.
Horrible takedown by Huerta or perhaps it was just good defense by Rose which made him look bad.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Huerta.
Huerta misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Huerta. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Huerta drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Huerta lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Rose utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Huerta throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rose is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Huerta throws a big right hand that misses.
Huerta distracts Rose with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Huerta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Huerta lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Huerta throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rose works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huerta won't allow Rose to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Huerta lands a couple of elbows.
Huerta will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Huerta is breathing heavily.
Rose cracks Huerta with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Huerta takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Rose lands with a right that hurts Huerta. Huerta looks to clinch but Rose throws a short knee that drops Huerta. This one is all over!
