Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mauri Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and perry mccabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruoska comes to the cage accompanied by Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the devil. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mccabe finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ruoska keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ruoska, as that shot connected.
mccabe wants to clinch up but Ruoska keeps it at a distance.
Ruoska lands a jab.
The crowd cheers as Ruoska lands an impressive looking overhand right. mccabe doesn't seem phased though.
mccabe shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruoska tries to sprawl out of it but mccabe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruoska manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ruoska darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ruoska forces mccabe back against the cage and clinches.
Ruoska using the Thai plumb to throw knees but mccabe has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ruoska breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
mccabe tries to keep at a distance but Ruoska has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ruoska lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Ruoska thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed mccabe's head.

Ruoska jumps into guard, dragging mccabe to the mat.

mccabe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruoska swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ruoska is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
mccabe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ruoska manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now mccabe has Ruoska in his guard.
Ruoska not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruoska throws a lazy right hand but mccabe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
mccabe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ruoska tries to avoid it but mccabe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ruoska to the ground. Ruoska escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ruoska throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ruoska misses with an uppercut. mccabe saw that one coming.
mccabe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
mccabe fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mauri Ruoska has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of perry mccabe.
mccabe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ruoska avoids it really well and circles away.
mccabe is breathing heavily.

and mccabe counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ruoska's guard now.

Ruoska is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
mccabe is trying to force a seperation but Ruoska has the dominant position.
