The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smart fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pfeifer manages to avoid it.
Smart ducks under a wild hook from Pfeifer.
Pfeifer throws a series of punches but Smart moves out of range.
Pfeifer throws a jab but it's blocked by Smart.
Pfeifer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Smart dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pfeifer misses with a few strikes there.
Smart ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Smart looks to land a combination but Pfeifer avoids it well.

Smart closes the distance and clinches.

Smart has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pfeifer regains guard immediately.

Smart stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Pfeifer cracks Smart with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Smart closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Smart works his way into side control.

Smart decides to stand back up. Smart steps back and let's Pfeifer get back to his feet.
Pfeifer is breathing heavily.

Pfeifer throws a series of punches but Smart avoids them all with ease.
Smart lands with a straight right. Pfeifer didn't see that one coming.
Smart is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Pfeifer rather than just go for the knockout.
Smart swings for the body but Pfeifer moves out of range.
Smart scores with a nice strike.
Pfeifer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smart.

Pfeifer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Smart gets to his feet. Pfeifer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Pfeifer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pfeifer tries to move into range but Smart moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Smart with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Pfeifer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Smart wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Smart throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smart throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pfeifer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Smart lands with a nice combination. Pfeifer backs away looking to recover.

Pfeifer is rocked!
Smart drops Pfeifer with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Pfeifer! Smart dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
