The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oliveira, pushing him back against the cage.
Oliveira turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Oliveira manages to end up in side control.
Smith seems a little lost for a moment, as Oliveira dominates the positioning.
Smith is trying to control Oliveira's posture but Oliveira avoids it.
Oliveira just content to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Oliveira defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith.
Oliveira throws a series of punches but Smith avoids them all with ease.
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oliveira tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oliveira to the ground. Oliveira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Oliveira tries to reverse the position but Smith maintains control.
Smith is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Smith!
