Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aristides Cipriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Grohl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cipriano kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chico Science e Nação Zumbi - Manguetown. Grohl is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Stricken - Disturbed. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grohl throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice takedown defense from Grohl. No joy for Cipriano on that attempt.
Grohl doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Cipriano counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grohl's guard now.

Grohl has his foot on Cipriano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cipriano works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cipriano passes Grohl's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Cipriano is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Grohl can't do much from the bottom here.

Cipriano has hold of Grohl's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Grohl seems comfortable defending it but Cipriano has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Grohl is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Grohl is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cipriano couldn't care less - he's delighted!
