And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Allen!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen blocks a jab.

Bartman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Allen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bartman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Allen is looking for a triangle but Bartman pushes his legs off easily.
Bartman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bartman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Bartman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Allen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bartman defends well.
Bartman lands a couple of digs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bartman stands up over Allen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bartman lands a couple of elbows.
Bartman is working Allen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bartman postures up and lands a big shot to Allen's brow.
Bartman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.


Allen is rocked!
Bartman is working Allen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Allen is still in real trouble! Can Bartman finish him?

Bartman stands up over Allen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Allen has momentary wrist control but Bartman slips an elbow through the middle.
Bartman is working Allen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bartman cracks Allen with a solid left hand.
Allen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bartman loads up on a big left hand. Allen felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Bartman looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Allen can't hide his disappointment, as Bartman celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Bartman!
