The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melbrooks takes the fight into the clinch.
Melbrooks scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Melbrooks swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Melbrooks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Melbrooks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Branigan swats away the attempt to clinch by Melbrooks.
Branigan slips a jab and a cross from Melbrooks.
Branigan blocks a head kick by Melbrooks.
Melbrooks chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Melbrooks takes a swing at Branigan's ribcage but misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Look low, kick high! Melbrooks uses the oldest trick in the book to send Branigan tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Melbrooks is absolutely delighted - when Branigan wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
