Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Ruus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Dougan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Dougan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Ruus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Dougan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dougan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Dougan sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ruus defending well though.
Dougan trying to control the action but Ruus is working from the bottom.

Dougan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dougan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dougan trying to control from Ruus's half guard. Ruus has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Ruus pulls Dougan in to control the position.
Ruus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dougan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dougan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruus looking for a guillotine here but Dougan defends easily.
Ruus keeping moving, preventing Dougan from controlling successfully.
Dougan stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Ruus throws up his legs and catches Dougan in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Dougan tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Ruus! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Martin Ruus!
