The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oboev closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dragonov to the mat! Dragonov manages to get full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dragonov is on top in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oboev will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Oboev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dragonov finds it's way round the side to connect with Oboev's head.

Dragonov tries to bum rush Oboev with a series of wild strikes but Oboev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Dragonov throws a right hand that Oboev ducks under and follows up with a left that Oboev also avoids with ease.

Dragonov looks to land a left hand but Oboev moved out of range nicely.

Oboev feints and as Dragonov raises his hands in defense, Oboev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Oboev is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dragonov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dragonov has escaped and now he's on top!
Dragonov wants to stand but Oboev is controlling his posture from full guard.

Dragonov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oboev on the ground.

Oboev drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dragonov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dragonov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dragonov!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Oboev wants to control but Dragonov postures up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Oboev throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dragonov was covering up waiting for the punch and Oboev finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Oboev had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dragonov is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Oboev Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dragonov's back instead.

Dragonov is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Oboev gets his way!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Oboev working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Dragonov is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Oboev has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Dragonov taps out!
