Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Horner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horner shoots in for a takedown but Morris shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Horner looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Morris!
Horner prevents Morris from getting the reversal.

Horner looking for a guillotine from mount but Morris is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morris tries to hold on but Horner postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morris wants to hold on but Horner pushes him away.

Horner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Morris's face.
Morris is in all sorts of trouble here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Morris squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Horner goes for an armbar but Morris turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Morris.

Morris drops back looking for a leg! Horner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Horner manages to kick Morris off! Morris jumps back into Horner's guard.
Horner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Morris tries to free his leg and advance position but Horner is retaining full guard.
Morris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Horner is trying to control the position but Morris postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Horner has his foot on Morris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morris works his way back into a safe position though.
Horner looks gassed!

Morris drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morris jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Horner wants to clinch up but Morris keeps it at a distance.
Morris lands a nice hook to Horner's body. Horner takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Horner fails with a takedown attempt.
Morris scores with a shot to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Morris. That's going to slow Horner down.
Horner on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Morris shoots in but Horner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Morris fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Horner takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Morris throws a shot to the body.
Morris fails with the takedown.
Morris lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Horner backs up against the cage.
Horner closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Horner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Morris sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Horner somewhat.
Jack Morris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Horner.
Nice uppercut there from Morris.
Morris fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nice sprawl there from Horner as Morris shoots in.
Morris scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The crowd cheers as Morris lands an impressive looking overhand right. Horner doesn't seem phased though.
Morris works Horner's body with a nice hook.
Morris scores with a one two! Horner had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Morris scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Morris tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Horner tries to bench press Morris off him but Morris keeps the position.

Morris is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Horner looks calm but he's in trouble here. Morris gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Horner is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Morris lets go of the hold and Horner can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Morris!
