Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Gostoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krille Ypeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gostoso fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gostoso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gostoso lands with a kick to the temple. Ypeta shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Ypeta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gostoso looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ypeta stands up.
Ypeta drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Ypeta has managed to clinch.
Ypeta goes for a takedown attempt but Gostoso pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

No joy there for Gostoso, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ypeta closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ypeta lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Gostoso really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gostoso tries to hold on but Ypeta postures up.
Gostoso's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Ypeta tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Ypeta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee warns Gostoso that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Gostoso throws a strike from the bottom but Ypeta uses the opportunity to take his back.

Ypeta has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gostoso has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gostoso tries to close the distance and clinch but Ypeta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ypeta feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gostoso scores with a one two! Ypeta had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Krille Ypeta showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ypeta is going olschool here, as he tries to force Gostoso to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gostoso shrugs it off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gostoso wants to try and get back to his feet.

Ypeta has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Gostoso! Can he survive? No! He's out! Ypeta gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
