The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogueira instigates a clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Nogueira counters with a head kick that drops Nunes to the mat! Nunes scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nogueira! Nunes is out on his feet! Nogueira rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Nunes is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Nunes is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
