The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atwood tries to clinch but McMillan is having none of it.
Atwood misses with a straight left.

McMillan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Atwood looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
McMillan throwing shots but missing, from side control.

McMillan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

McMillan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McMillan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McMillan throws an elbow but Atwood slips to the side and avoids it well.
Who's going to make the next move?
Atwood is looking for a sweep.

McMillan stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Atwood misses with a looping left.
McMillan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Atwood is fending him off so far but McMillan persists. Nope, Atwood circles away and we're back to standing.

Atwood scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Atwood thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McMillan's head.
Atwood landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
McMillan is trying to get back to full guard.
Atwood perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Atwood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McMillan on the ground.
McMillan tries to get to full guard but Atwood has control of the leg.
McMillan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Atwood accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Atwood has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Atwood stands up and waves to McMillan to follow him.
Atwood throws a low kick, looking for McMillan's leg but McMillan calmly moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Atwood darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

McMillan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
McMillan looks gassed!

Atwood is looking for a sweep.

McMillan is working to tighten is grip on Atwood's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Atwood has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McMillan is really squeezing tight and eventually Atwood passes out! McMillan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
