Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between jake sir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coco Trippaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coco Trippaaja has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, jake sir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Coco Trippaaja!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

sir scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Trippaaja tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but sir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Trippaaja is trying to control sir's posture but sir avoids it.
Trippaaja manages to get back to half guard.
Trippaaja works his way to full guard. Good work.
sir will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trippaaja is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

sir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trippaaja swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

sir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Trippaaja is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of sir, into his guard.
sir is looking to stand up but Trippaaja isn't so interested in that idea.

Trippaaja has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of sir is proving hard to escape from.
sir not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
sir is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Trippaaja stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. sir swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Trippaaja drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trippaaja jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

sir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

and sir counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by sir.

sir pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
sir clobbers Trippaaja with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

sir throws a knee to the head but misses.
Trippaaja drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

sir breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and sir counters with a takedown into side control.
jake sir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Coco Trippaaja.

sir decides to stand back up. sir steps back and let's Trippaaja get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

sir fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trippaaja, pushing him back against the cage.

sir's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
sir lunges at Trippaaja with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Trippaaja's hand.

sir is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Trippaaja's half guard.

sir is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Trippaaja is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Trippaaja is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but sir pulls his head out easily.

Trippaaja wants to stand and escape but sir is having none of it.

Trippaaja has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. sir is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Trippaaja.

sir stands up and we're back to a striking position.
jake sir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
sir lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trippaaja circles away quickly and effectively.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and sir holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Trippaaja has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. sir is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

sir breaks from the clinch.
sir lands a head kick!

sir forces Trippaaja back against the cage and clinches.
sir is pressed up against the cage. Trippaaja has hold of a leg and is looking to drag sir down to the mat. sir avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!



sir gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Trippaaja tries for a takedown but sir manages to get underhooks.

sir is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Trippaaja takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Trippaaja tries to pull guard but sir won't allow it.
jake sir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Coco Trippaaja.

sir jumps guard and drags Trippaaja to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Trippaaja wants to pass the guard but sir is keeping the position.

Trippaaja stays in close to sir's body and controls the position.
sir tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Trippaaja decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Trippaaja shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. sir manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Trippaaja tries to free his leg and advance position but sir is retaining full guard.
Trippaaja passes sir's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Trippaaja is sneakily working for an arm triangle but sir sees it coming and defends easily.

Trippaaja is trying for a kimura here. sir looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Trippaaja wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Coco Trippaaja!
