The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake blocks a jab.
Parker throws a right hand that Drake ducks under and follows up with a left that Drake also avoids with ease.
Parker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drake manages to avoid it.
Parker connects with a single shot there.
Drake fails with a takedown attempt.

Drake is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parker's half guard.
Parker tries to roll over but Drake keeps him under control.
Well, if Drake is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parker keeps working.
Parker sneaks back into half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Drake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Parker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Drake circles away quickly and effectively.

Drake jumps guard but Parker stands there with Drake around his waist. Drake gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Drake turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Drake manages to end up in side control.

Parker is pushing Drake's head away, looking to escape. Drake manages to hold on to the position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Parker is looking to improve his position but Drake isn't that keen on the idea.
