The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aquino drops back looking for a leg! ali is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and ali manages to kick Aquino off! Aquino jumps back into ali's guard.

Aquino had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. ali is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Aquino Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take ali's back instead.

ali is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Aquino off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Aquino has got his arm under ali's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! ali has spun round into Aquino's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Aquino can't keep his opponent in guard - ali advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
ali is looking to take a break and control but Aquino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aquino bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
ali is trying to control the position but Aquino postures up.
Aquino postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Aquino drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aquino jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

This one could be over very soon! ali goes limp - he's gone! Aquino jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
