Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Stamp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel La Ruso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamp comes to the cage accompanied by I got a feeling. La Ruso has chosen Miagi's Flute as his entrance music. Daniel La Ruso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Ruso tries to close the distance and clinch but Stamp swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stamp throws a combination but it was largely blocked by La Ruso.
Stamp scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stamp displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from La Ruso.
La Ruso looks gassed!

Stamp looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stamp is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Stamp scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Stamp forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stamp working over La Ruso with some ground and pound. La Ruso looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Stamp looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Stamp is nestled in close to La Ruso, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

La Ruso is rocked!
Stamp lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked La Ruso! More strikes land and this one is all over! Stamp jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
