Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Shannon Bailey!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bailey dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bailey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Bailey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bailey swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bailey bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Shannon Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries to clinch but Bailey is having none of it.

Bailey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Bailey wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bailey trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Bailey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Bailey is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silva is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silva has escaped and now he's on top!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva forces his way into half guard.

Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Bailey is defending well.
Silva trying to mount his opponent but Bailey defends it.
Silva missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Bailey trying to control but Silva postures up.
Bailey misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silva uses his free foot to push down on Bailey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bailey.
Bailey looks gassed!

Silva is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Bailey is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Bailey flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Silva anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Bailey and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Silva slips an arm under Bailey chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Silva has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Silva is squeezing on Bailey like an anaconda would it's prey. Bailey fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tyson Silva!
