Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Won Lo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Don't Wanna Short Dick Man. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bird tries to close the distance and clinch but Lo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jay Bird seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bird wants to clinch.
Lo misses with a two punch combination.
Lo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Lo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bird moves out of range as Lo strikes.
Lo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bird misses with a double jab.
Lo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bird is defended easily by Lo.

Bird tries to close the distance and clinch but Lo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Lo counters with a one-two to the body.
Bird throws a right hand that Lo ducks under and follows up with a left that Lo also avoids with ease.
Bird cracks a nice hook into Lo's ribs.
Lo goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Bird has his takedown stuffed
and Lo counters with a head kick. That will keep Bird thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Bird is rocked!
It looks like Jay Bird has been cut.
Bird closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lo to the mat! Lo manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bird is one step ahead there.
Bird throws and elbow that misses. Lo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bird's guard. Nice move by Lo!
Bird is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bird is working an open guard so Lo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bird wants to clinch
and Lo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bird is looking to improve his position.
Lo seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Lo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bird is looking for a sweep. Lo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bird is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Lo content to control rather than advance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lo tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Jay Bird's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lo throws a leg kick which misses Bird's front leg but catches the back leg as Bird tries to avoid it.
Bird closes the distance but Lo moves to the side
and Lo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Lo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bird counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bird wants to control from the top but Lo keeps moving.
Bird has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lo is proving hard to escape from.
Bird tries to free his leg and advance position but Lo is retaining full guard.
Lo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bird wants to control from the top but Lo keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bird counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lo won't be happy with that.
Lo can't do much from the bottom here.
Bird decides to stand back up. Bird steps back and let's Lo get back to his feet.
Bird shoots in but Lo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bird is breathing heavily.

and Lo counters with a good low kick that Bird was not able to check.

and Lo makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Bird really felt that one!

Won Lo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lo lands with a hook. Bird tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Lo lands a head kick. Bird smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Bird is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Lo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bird is still on wobbly legs! Can Lo finish him?
Lo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lo.

Nice uppercut lands for Bird. That snapped Lo's head back.

Bird changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lo tries to avoid it but Bird manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lo to the ground. Lo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bird takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lo feints and then cracks Bird's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bird down.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
