Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MATT GUN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigues comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't no Sunshine. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodrigues closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming GUN to the mat! GUN manages to get full guard.
GUN looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rodrigues passes GUN's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodrigues lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rodrigues lands a nice short elbow.
Rodrigues wants to control but GUN is keeping him busy.

Rodrigues is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
GUN is not content to let Rodrigues control the position.

Rodrigues has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

GUN pushes Rodrigues away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rodrigues gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Rodrigues is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. GUN looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rodrigues gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. GUN is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rodrigues lets go of the hold and GUN can pop his arm back in it's socket.
