Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Deal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phoenix comes to the ring accompanied by Phoenix. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Phoenix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Deal!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Deal but Deal pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Deal closes the distance and pushes Phoenix back into the ropes.

Deal drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Deal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Phoenix avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Phoenix wants the takedown. Deal is fighting it off but Phoenix persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Deal's guard against the ropes.

Deal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Phoenix gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Deal connects with a nice short shot to Phoenix's temple.

Al Deal dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Phoenix tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Deal stands up over Phoenix, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Deal wants to control from the top but Phoenix keeps moving.
Phoenix might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Deal works over Phoenix with some ground and pound from guard.

Deal is landing with some decent strikes but Phoenix is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Phoenix wants to control but Deal is having none of it.
