Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cristos Michailidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Placido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Placido comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DMX Ft Tupac - Bad Guys kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Placido as he connects with a hook.
Placido looks to score with a jab to the body but Michailidis is just out of range.
Michailidis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Michailidis ducks right into an uppercut from Placido.
Placido blocks a low kick nicely.
Placido scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Placido moves out of range of the body kick from Michailidis.
Michailidis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Michailidis throws a sloppy body shot
and Placido counters with a nice body shot.
Placido checks a leg kick nicely.
Ramon Placido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Placido throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Michailidis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Placido cracks a nice hook into Michailidis's ribs.
Michailidis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Michailidis is breathing heavily.

Michailidis walks into a straight right hand from Placido.
Michailidis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Placido checks it well.

Placido throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Michailidis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Placido lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Michailidis at a distance.
Placido changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Michailidis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
