The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
CANDITO looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Still in half guard, Rivera seems content to control.
Rivera passes to side control.

CANDITO is trying to control Rivera's posture but Rivera avoids it.
Rivera is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. CANDITO is trying to escape and Rivera transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and CANDITO is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rivera! Very nice indeed!
