The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jefferson pulls his leg out and moves away.

smith tries for a takedown but Jefferson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

smith tries for a takedown but Jefferson circles away easily

and Jefferson counters by clinching up.

Jefferson connects with a nasty looking knee right to smith's face.
smith goes for a takedown attempt but Jefferson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jefferson darts in and clinches smith up against the cage.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for smith. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Jefferson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
smith takes an elbow to the temple.

Jefferson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Jefferson lands a big head kick that sends smith tumbling to the mat! Jefferson takes a step backwards and waves smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jefferson lands a left and a right that send smith crashing to the mat, dazed. Jefferson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jefferson closes the distance and clinches.
Jefferson just leaning against smith, taking a breather.

Jefferson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
smith gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jefferson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jefferson.

Jefferson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
smith closes the distance and clinches up with Jefferson, looking for a takedown. smith pushes Jefferson against the cage but Jefferson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jefferson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jefferson is looking to control smith's arms but smith gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jefferson has his back to the cage.

smith pulls guard.
Jefferson is looking to stand up but smith won't let him.
Jefferson tries to free his leg and advance position but smith is retaining full guard.

smith has his feet on Jefferson's thighs here. He's pushed Jefferson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jefferson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
