The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Vargas misses its intended target.
Vargas throws out a loose jab but Murphy uses good head movement to avoid it.

Murphy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vargas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vargas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Vargas will probably get the nod.

Sean Murphy's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
