PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duke Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Bonner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by the Offspring - Beheaded. Bonner has chosen It's Time For War- LL Cool J as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Davis thows a body kick. Bonner tries to catch it but that hurt him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bonner sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Bonner throws a hook but Davis blocks it.
Bonner throws the left hand but Davis avoids the punch easily.
Davis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Bonner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Davis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bonner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Davis looks for the body kick but Bonner saw that one coming.
Bonner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bonner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davis's waist but Davis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bonner off to one side.

and Bonner counters with a nice low kick that buckles Davis's knee momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Davis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bonner manages to avoid it.

Bonner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Davis's head.
Bonner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davis sprawls well. Davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bonner gets slowly back to his feet.

Stevie Bonner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bonner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
