Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Eyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viko Maafala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eyre's entrance music is Domination by Pantera. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Eyre lands.

It looks like Viko Maafala has been cut.
Eyre throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maafala.
Maafala throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Eyre counters with a stiff right hand.

Maafala clinches.
Maafala with a knee to the head.

It looks like Martin Eyre has been cut.
Eyre takes an elbow to the forehead.
Maafala is stalling here.

Eyre tightens his grip and picks Maafala up, before dumping him to the ground. Maafala manages to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Eyre tries to free his leg and advance position but Maafala is retaining full guard.

Eyre drops back, looking for a kneebar! Maafala looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Maafala looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Maafala!
The ground and pound from Maafala seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Maafala cracks Eyre with a big elbow.
Eyre sneaks back into half guard.

Eyre wants to improve his position but Maafala is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Maafala connects with a nice short shot to Eyre's temple.

Eyre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maafala pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Eyre is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Maafala frees his head nicely. Oh but Eyre has switched to an armbar! Maafala is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
