Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Borre Oppeboen!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulsen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Oppeboen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Paulsen throws out a loose jab but Oppeboen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Paulsen swings for the body but Oppeboen moves out of range.
Oppeboen fails to land with a series of punches.
Oppeboen throws a hook but Paulsen blocks it.
Oppeboen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Paulsen.
Oppeboen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A head kick misses from Oppeboen.
Oppeboen ducks under a wild hook from Paulsen.
Paulsen tries to clinch but Oppeboen is having none of it.
Oppeboen avoids the body shot from Paulsen.
A punch lands to the side of Oppeboen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Borre Oppeboen has been cut.
Oppeboen misses with a hook. Paulsen ducked under it nicely.
Paulsen lands a left and a right that send Oppeboen crashing to the mat, dazed. Paulsen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Left hook, right uppercut from Oppeboen.
Paulsen slips a jab from Oppeboen.
Paulsen jabs Oppeboen right on the nose. Oppeboen blinks but takes it well.
That has opened up Borre Oppeboen's cut even more.
Paulsen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Oppeboen is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oppeboen is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Paulsen doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Oppeboen crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Oppeboen's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jan Paulsen!
