Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zion Mushoshvilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mushoshvilly's entrance music is Disco Partizani. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mushoshvilly's hands.
Hill scores with a one two! Mushoshvilly had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Mushoshvilly shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hill's guard.
Hill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mushoshvilly postures up.
Mushoshvilly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hill has his hands on Mushoshvilly's head, controlling the position.

Hill looking for a guillotine here but Mushoshvilly defends easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hill can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mushoshvilly prevents Hill from getting back to his feet.
Hill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mushoshvilly stays in close to Hill's body and controls the position.
Mushoshvilly looking to sit in guard and control but Hill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mushoshvilly seems keen to control Hill's posture.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Hill as Mushoshvilly shoots in.

Mushoshvilly throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hill was covering up waiting for the punch and Mushoshvilly finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hill doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Mushoshvilly won't allow Hill to get back to his feet.
Mushoshvilly wants to control from the top but Hill keeps moving.
Hill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mushoshvilly looking to pass the guard.
Mushoshvilly with a nice head shot there.

Mushoshvilly got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hill has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mushoshvilly has managed to get both his arms back between Hill's legs - danger averted.

Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mushoshvilly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hill dips to his left and cracks Mushoshvilly with an uppercut!
