Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giaus Cassius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moy Tie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Giaus Cassius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moy Tie!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cassius scores a takedown into full mount!
Cassius wants to control the pace but Tie is squirming around nicely.
Cassius pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Cassius is going olschool here, as he tries to force Tie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tie shrugs it off.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cassius cracks Tie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tie tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Cassius postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tie looks a forlorn figure.
Tie is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Cassius is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Cassius is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Cassius takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cassius has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cassius wants to finish this one by submission but Tie is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cassius.

Cassius is working for a guillotine from mount but Tie frees his head quite easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tie can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tie is looking to clinch but Cassius is avoiding it.
Cassius wants to clinch up but Tie keeps it at a distance.
Cassius shoots in but no luck this time.

Tie lands an elbow inside that Cassius shrugs off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cassius jumps guard but Tie stands there with Cassius around his waist. Cassius gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cassius will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cassius is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Cassius is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Tie wants to stand up but Cassius is controlling him.
Cassius is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Cassius not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cassius accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cassius is in close to Tie's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Cassius working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tie's head.
Cassius trying to control but Tie is working from the bottom.
Cassius connects with a couple of short punches.
Cassius trying to control the position from guard on top but Tie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cassius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cassius throws a big right hand that misses.
Cassius looking to sit in guard and control but Tie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Giaus Cassius dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Cassius has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Giaus Cassius just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Tie pushes Cassius off looking to stand but Cassius dives back in and keeps control.
Cassius is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Tie has one foot on Cassius's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Tie moves into range and clinches up with Cassius.
Tie gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cassius.
Cassius tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giaus Cassius. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cassius tries for a takedown but Tie manages to get underhooks.
Cassius tries to throw a body punch but Tie avoids it by throwing Cassius back against the cage.
Cassius is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tie pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Tie connects with a knee to the head.
Cassius has had enough of the clinch but Tie keeps him there for the moment.

Tie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cassius pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tie clinches up with Cassius and pushes him back against the cage.
Cassius is trying to drag Tie to the mat but Tie just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Cassius tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tie smiles and moves away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Giaus Cassius showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cassius, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
