PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dog Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chapman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Bounty Hunter Theme. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dog Chapman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Taylor. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Taylor.
Taylor scores with a sloppy right hand. Chapman should have avoided that one.
Taylor jabs Chapman right on the nose. Chapman blinks but takes it well.
Chapman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Taylor pinned against the cage. Taylor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Taylor connects with a looping right hand.
Taylor scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chapman in his tracks.
A jab lands there for Taylor.

Taylor paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chapman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taylor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chapman fails with a takedown attempt.
Taylor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dog Chapman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chapman darts in and clinches Taylor up against the cage.

Taylor is fighting off a takedown attempt but Chapman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Taylor to the mat. Taylor regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Taylor tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Taylor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Taylor controls Chapman momentarily but Chapman frees himself.

Taylor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chapman is aware though and is defending well.

Chapman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Taylor is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Taylor has escaped and now he's on top!
Chapman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Taylor manages to get himself to full guard.
Taylor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chapman tries to free his leg and advance position but Taylor is retaining full guard.

Taylor has his foot on Chapman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chapman works his way back into a safe position though.
Chapman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Taylor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Taylor looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Chapman puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Chapman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Taylor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Taylor is looking to control Chapman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Taylor avoid being mounted?

Chapman stands up out of the half guard.
Chapman is breathing heavily.
Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Chapman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Taylor slaps away a takedown attempt from Chapman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Taylor lands a jab to the nose.

Taylor throws a series of punches but Chapman avoids them all with ease.
Taylor is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Chapman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Chapman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Taylor is trying to control Chapman's posture but Chapman avoids it.
Taylor sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Chapman with the ground and pound but Taylor uses the opportunity to regain guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Taylor is trying to keep Chapman in close.

Taylor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Taylor dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Taylor lands a really nice looking cross but Chapman seems unphased.
Taylor scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Taylor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Sean Taylor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
It's a brutal combination of punches from Taylor! Chapman is backing up but he can't get away as Taylor lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Chapman and ends the fight. Great knockout.
