Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hitoshi Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Eduardo Oliveira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliveira throws a nice looking combination but Masaru bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Masaru shoots in for a takedown but Oliveira shows good takedown defense.
Oliveira fails to land with a series of punches.
Masaru showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Oliveira.
Oliveira misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Masaru.
Oliveira lands with an uppercut that bounces Masaru off the cage and back into rage.

Oliveira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Oliveira misses with a hook. Masaru ducked under it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masaru lands a big uppercut and Oliveira crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Oliveira looks OK. Masaru waves Oliveira back to his feet!

It looks like Eduardo Oliveira has been cut.
Masaru ducks right into an uppercut from Oliveira.
Oliveira cracks Masaru with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Masaru tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oliveira swivels and escapes.

Oliveira misses with a wild combination.
Masaru takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Masaru slips a jab and a cross from Oliveira.
Oliveira misses the shot to the body.

Masaru gets a clinch.
Masaru is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Oliveira gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hitoshi Masaru. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oliveira wants to get back to striking at distance but Masaru won't allow it.

Oliveira tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Oliveira lands an uppercut.
Oliveira swings wildly with an uppercut but Masaru uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oliveira is looking to break free of the clinch but Masaru has double underhooks.
Oliveira misses with a knee strike.

Oliveira escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oliveira has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Oliveira looks gassed!
Masaru wants to clinch up but Oliveira keeps it at a distance.

Masaru shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oliveira's guard.

Masaru passes Oliveira's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Masaru scores with a big shot! Oliveira's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Oliveira! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
