PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hickson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Sutherland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sandstorm. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Silva.

Sutherland shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sutherland got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sutherland has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sutherland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sutherland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sutherland is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sutherland.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sutherland thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Silva if he has to take too many more of those.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Sutherland on that attempt.

Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sutherland.

That was a close round but I would say that Hickson Silva will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
