PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarno Psykonautti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jussi Koivusalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koivusalo has chosen SMC Hoodrats as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Psykonautti keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Koivusalo.
Koivusalo ducks under a wild hook from Psykonautti.
Psykonautti misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Koivusalo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Psykonautti is fending him off so far but Koivusalo persists. Nope, Psykonautti circles away and we're back to standing.
Koivusalo throws a head kick but Psykonautti moves out of range.
Koivusalo slips a straight right by Psykonautti.
Koivusalo misses with a head kick.
Koivusalo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Jussi Koivusalo has been cut.
Koivusalo closes the distance and clinches up with Psykonautti, looking for a takedown. Koivusalo pushes Psykonautti against the cage but Psykonautti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A slow jab from Psykonautti misses its intended target.
A cross from Psykonautti lands.
Psykonautti misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Koivusalo.
Psykonautti slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Psykonautti throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Koivusalo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Koivusalo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jarno Psykonautti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jussi Koivusalo.

Psykonautti steps into range and cracks Koivusalo with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Koivusalo flops backwards and Psykonautti dives into his guard looking to finish!

Koivusalo is rocked!

That has opened up Jussi Koivusalo's cut even more.
Koivusalo looks gassed!
Psykonautti wants to stand but Koivusalo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Psykonautti stands and throws Koivusalo's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Psykonautti stands up and beckons Koivusalo to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Psykonautti cracks Koivusalo on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Koivusalo falls backwards against the cage. Psykonautti follows up with more strikes that drop Koivusalo to his knees. Psykonautti keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Koivusalo! This one is all over!
