Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Cornwall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Del Phonics (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Del Phonics has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Cornwall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Del Phonics!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornwall shoots in but no luck this time.

Cornwall has taken the fight to the clinch.
Phonics misses with a knee strike.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Cornwall fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Phonics throws an elbow that misses.

Phonics breaks from the clinch.

Phonics closes the distance and pushes Cornwall back into the cage.
Phonics can't break the clinch.
Cornwall managing to block the knees to the body from Phonics.
Cornwall drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Phonics gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Cornwall drops back, looking for a kneebar! Phonics looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Phonics looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Phonics!
Cornwall tries to buck Phonics off but Phonics is having none of it.

Phonics tries for a kimura but Cornwall is defending well.
Cornwall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Phonics wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Phonics tries to advance to mount but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Phonics throws a strike aimed at the side of Cornwall's head but Cornwall avoids it well.
Cornwall is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Phonics off and has taken his back!

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Cornwall will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cornwall had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Phonics is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cornwall Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Phonics's back instead.

Del Phonics showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
