Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Espino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Pritchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Espino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richard Pritchard!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pritchard feints and as Espino raises his hands in defense, Pritchard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Espino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pritchard on the ground.
Pritchard stopping the sweep attempt from Espino.
Espino is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Pritchard stands and steps away. Espino gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Espino lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Espino gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pritchard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Espino wants to hit a switch here but Pritchard passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Espino there!
Espino is looking to get to half guard.

Pritchard get's back to his feet.

Pritchard darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Espino is looking to get back to full guard here but Pritchard has managed to pass to side control instead.

Pritchard is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Pritchard shoots in but no luck this time.
Some wild striking there from Espino.
Pritchard has a takedown stuffed.

Espino moves into the clinch.
Pritchard changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Espino fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tony Espino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Pritchard.
Pritchard looks gassed!
Pritchard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Espino swivels and escapes.
Espino scores with a leg kick.
Espino lands with a cross.

A head kick misses from Espino.
Some wild striking there from Pritchard.
Espino fails to land the takedown.
Espino scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Pritchard moves forwards but Espino connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Espino changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Espino misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Espino bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Espino throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Espino darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Espino connects with a nice short shot to Pritchard's temple.

Pritchard won't allow Espino to pass to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pritchard wants to improve his position but Espino is controlling well.
Espino lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Pritchard manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Pritchard prevents Espino from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Espino manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Espino is looking to clinch.
Pritchard avoids the head kick by Espino.
Espino shoots and misses

and Pritchard counters with a shoot takedown. Espino fights it but they end up in guard.
Pritchard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Espino throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Pritchard is pushing down on Espino's leg trying to pass to half guard. Espino is fighting to maintain full guard but Pritchard has managed to sneak the leg through.

Pritchard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Espino doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pritchard.

Pritchard is looking for a kimura but Espino is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pritchard to get the leverage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pritchard seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Richard Pritchard will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Espino misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pritchard shoots for a double leg takedown but Espino sprawls well. He's pushed Pritchard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pritchard takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Espino lands a right hook to the body.
Espino looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Espino tries a head kick but it misses.
Tony Espino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Espino stuffs the takedown.
Espino connects with a right hand. Pritchard shakes it off.
Espino has his takedown stuffed

and Pritchard counters with a shoot takedown. Espino fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pritchard won't allow Espino to sweep him here.

Pritchard drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Espino manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pritchard has Espino in his guard.

Pritchard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Espino is aware though and is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pritchard is looking for a triangle but Espino pushes his legs off easily.
Espino is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Espino looking to pass the guard.

Pritchard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Espino is aware though and is defending well.
Espino would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Espino avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pritchard thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Pritchard won't allow Espino to get back to his feet.

Pritchard stands and steps away. Espino gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Pritchard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tony Espino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Pritchard.
Espino throws a head kick but Pritchard moves out of range.

Pritchard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Espino manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Espino wants to get back to his feet but Pritchard passes into half guard.

Pritchard looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pritchard stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pritchard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Espino as he avoids it easily.
Espino is looking to clinch.
Espino cracks the inside of Pritchard's front leg.
Horrible takedown by Pritchard or perhaps it was just good defense by Espino which made him look bad.
Pritchard misses with a takedown attempt - Espino sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Espino stalks Pritchard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pritchard's face. Pritchard staggers backwards, shaken.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pritchard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pritchard doesn't manage to clinch there - Espino circles away.
Espino connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pritchard. Pritchard circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Espino tries to close the distance and clinch but Pritchard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Pritchard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Espino's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Pritchard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Espino tries to avoid it but Pritchard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Espino to the ground. Espino escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Espino misses with a few strikes there.
Pritchard shoots in for a takedown but Espino shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Espino decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Espino thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Espino thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Pritchard to regain full guard.

Pritchard drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Pritchard seems to have locked his on tight now - Espino screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Pritchard, as he picks up the win!
