The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luchador scoring well with a low kick there.
Nice uppercut lands for Gomi. That snapped Luchador's head back.
Luchador tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomi was well out of range. Poor timing from Luchador.
Luchador needs to keep his hands up - Gomi had a free shot at his head there.
Gomi shoots in for a takedown but Luchador shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gomi lands a lovely overhand right.

Luchador misses with a kick to the body.
Takanori Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomi takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Gomi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Luchador wants to break the clinch but can't.

Gomi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Luchador is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Luchador throws a leg kick but Gomi checks it.
Gomi lands a body shot.
Gomi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Luchador swats away the attempt to clinch by Gomi.

Gomi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luchador circles away quickly and effectively.
Gomi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Luchador moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gomi stalks Luchador and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Luchador's face. Luchador staggers backwards, shaken.

Luchador is rocked!
Gomi drops Luchador with a naaaaasty hook - Luchador is in real trouble here! Gomi dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
