Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rypien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maciej Michalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michalski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Born to Run. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michalski has a takedown stuffed.
Rypien jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Maciej Michalski has been cut.
Michalski slips a jab from Rypien.
Michalski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Michalski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Michalski keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rypien.
Michalski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rypien paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Rypien. No joy for Michalski on that attempt.

Rick Rypien has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maciej Michalski.

Rypien cracks Michalski with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Michalski takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Rypien throws a monster overhand right that drops Michalski! Rypien follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
