Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robbie MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Querido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie MacLeod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Querido!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Querido is defended easily by MacLeod.

Querido gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Querido drags the fight down to the ground.

Querido escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. MacLeod gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Querido looking to control.
Querido looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
MacLeod postures up.
MacLeod tries to free his leg and advance position but Querido is retaining full guard.

Querido had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. MacLeod is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Querido Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take MacLeod's back instead.
MacLeod is keeping busy.
Querido looks gassed!

MacLeod rolls, trying to escape but Querido keeps control of the position.
Querido trying to control momentarily.
MacLeod is trying to break free.

Querido is persistently looking for the submission but MacLeod is defending it well.

Querido looking for the choke from the back.
MacLeod trying to control the position but Querido manages to sink in the hooks.
MacLeod knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Querido on the ground.
I really don't envy MacLeod right now.
MacLeod trying to control the action but Querido just sinks the hooks in.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
MacLeod trying to get back to his feet but Querido is in full control for now.
MacLeod rolls, trying to escape but Querido keeps control of the position.

MacLeod is working hard here to advance position.
Querido somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
You can see the frustration on MacLeod's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

MacLeod tries to hold on but Querido postures up.
Querido throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Querido looking for a guillotine from mount but MacLeod is having none of it.
Querido avoids the attempt from MacLeod to control.
MacLeod is trying to escape the mount.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Querido thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacLeod is squirming around, avoiding Querido's attempts to control the action.
MacLeod is trying desperately to improve position.
Poor strikes thrown by Querido there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Querido gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
MacLeod shoots in for a double leg but Querido sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! MacLeod's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


MacLeod has his takedown stuffed

so Querido counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

MacLeod has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Querido can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Querido is stalling in the full guard.
Querido pushes down on MacLeod's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Querido lands strikes from half guard.
Querido passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for MacLeod!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

MacLeod blocking the ground and pound.

Querido stands up from mount. Strange move.
MacLeod misses with an attempted mid kick.
MacLeod fails with a takedown attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Querido shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Querido shoots for a double leg takedown but MacLeod sprawls well. He's pushed Querido's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
MacLeod tries to clinch up

and Querido counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

MacLeod has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Querido is working away from the top position though.
Querido uses his free foot to push down on MacLeod's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for MacLeod.
MacLeod holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Querido tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Querido breaks from MacLeod's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Querido has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Querido trying to control but he's not successful this time.
MacLeod tries to reverse the position but Querido maintains control.
Querido throwing strikes here but MacLeod is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Querido is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. MacLeod can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Querido gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
MacLeod lands a right hook to the body.

Querido looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Querido trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Querido advances position into side control!
Querido remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Querido working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Querido decides to stand back up. Querido steps back and let's MacLeod get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pedro Querido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Querido gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Querido has MacLeod pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. MacLeod manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
MacLeod jumps guard but Querido stands there with MacLeod around his waist. MacLeod gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
MacLeod is trying to force a seperation but Querido has the dominant position.

MacLeod has a couple of punches blocked by Querido.

Querido decides to pull guard.

Querido has his foot on MacLeod's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. MacLeod works his way back into a safe position though.
Querido is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Querido looking to hit a scissor sweep but MacLeod is one step ahead there.

Querido has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but MacLeod can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Querido pulls MacLeod in close to his closed guard and prevents MacLeod from doing any damage or advancing position.

MacLeod avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
MacLeod trying to control but Querido is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Querido shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. MacLeod manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Querido trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Querido trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Querido is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Querido blocks a leg kick.
Querido shoots for a takedown but MacLeod saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
MacLeod throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Querido shoots in but no luck this time.
Querido fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
MacLeod is looking to clinch.
Querido fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Querido takes the fight into the clinch.

Pedro Querido comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Querido winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
