Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chipped Shoulder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yokohama Humahuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoulder throws a head kick that misses.
Shoulder thows a body shot but no joy.

Shoulder drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shoulder with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Humahuta tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Humahuta is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Shoulder wants to pass the guard but Humahuta is keeping the position.
Shoulder is working Humahuta over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shoulder connects with a nice short shot to Humahuta's temple.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Humahuta can do anything to dispel that myth.
Humahuta wants to control but Shoulder is keeping busy.

Humahuta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Humahuta has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shoulder is working away from the top position though.

Shoulder cracks Humahuta with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
