Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew WK!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve McRae!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
WK wants to slow McRae down by chopping away at his legs.
McRae fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
WK takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Steve McRae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McRae darts in and clinches WK up against the cage.
WK jumps guard but McRae stands there with WK around his waist. WK gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

McRae lands with a short head shot on the inside.
McRae tried to land a shot to the body but connects with WK's elbow.
McRae lands a right hand that snaps the head of WK backwards.
WK is looking to control McRae's arms but McRae gets an underhook and turns him. Now WK has his back to the cage.
McRae gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from WK.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew WK. That's going to take a lot out of him.
WK tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McRae smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McRae uses good head movement to avoid the hook from WK.
WK uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A punch combination from McRae misses.
WK throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McRae.

WK feints and as McRae raises his hands in defense, WK changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
WK stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McRae swivels though and keeps the full guard.

WK postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McRae is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of WK, into his guard.

McRae wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of WK's closed guard. He's half up but WK has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! WK pivots and extends the arm, McRae falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by WK! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andrew WK!
