Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hughes.
Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burns paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hughes could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Burns misses with a series of wild punches.

Hughes moves into range and clinches up with Burns.
Burns tries to pull guard but Hughes holds him up against the cage and eventually Burns drops back down to his feet.
Burns blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hughes gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Burns tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hughes smiles and moves away.
Jon Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kross Burns.

Hughes gets a clinch.

Burns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burns swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Burns lands a big right hand that sends Hughes crashing to the mat! Burns stays standing though and waves Hughes back to his feet!

Hughes is rocked!

It looks like Jon Hughes has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circling - Burns throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Oh Hughes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hughes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hughes seems to have got his legs back now.
Burns throws a looping overhand right but Hughes ducks down to avoid it.

Jon Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Hughes has Burns up against the cage in a clinch.
A body shot lands from Hughes.
Hughes stops a takedown attempt from Burns.
A right hook to the body lands for Hughes.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hughes.

Burns drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Burns pulls guard.
Burns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hughes's guard.
Burns won't allow Hughes to get back to his feet.
Hughes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Burns drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Burns seems to have locked his on tight now - Hughes screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Burns, as he picks up the win!
