Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BamBam Rubble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubble comes to the cage accompanied by Eruption. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubble looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Frost shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Frost looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rubble is fending him off so far but Frost persists. Nope, Rubble circles away and we're back to standing.
Rubble feints and then cracks Frost's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Frost down.
Rubble just misses with a punch to the body.
BamBam Rubble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rubble throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Frost fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
BamBam Rubble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Frost.
Rubble goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Danny Frost has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frost is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rubble is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Frost.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rubble clobbers Frost with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Frost shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rubble sprawls well. Rubble wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frost gets slowly back to his feet.
Rubble throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Rubble rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Frost moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rubble explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Frost takes a head kick and keeps coming.


That has opened up Danny Frost's cut even more.
Frost shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rubble sprawls well. Rubble wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frost gets slowly back to his feet.

Rubble throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rubble. That's going to slow Frost down.
Rubble lands a nice shot to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Frost.
Frost steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rubble. That one must have hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters circling a little - Rubble finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Frost has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Rubble.

Frost postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rubble moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Frost avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rubble jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Frost.
Rubble pushes Frost away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Frost gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Frost, as that shot connected.
Frost shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rubble but Rubble pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rubble lands a head kick!
Rubble lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rubble tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Frost takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rubble throws a series of strikes that have Frost backpedaling.

Frost is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rubble can't fight it off and eventually Frost manages to take the fight to the floor. Rubble looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

I would just about give that final round to Danny Frost.
