Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baird cracks Payne with an uppercut from hell and Payne crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Baird's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
It looks like Xavier Payne has been cut.
Payne looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Payne utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Baird trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Payne preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Baird in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Baird scoring with some ground and pound.
Baird cracks Payne with a solid left hand.
Baird working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Baird must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Baird really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Payne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Baird wants to control from the top but Payne keeps moving.
Baird throws a big right hand that misses.
Baird tries to free his leg and advance position but Payne is retaining full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Payne staying out of range there.
Baird will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Baird scores with a sloppy right hand. Payne should have avoided that one.
Baird cracks Payne with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Baird throws a lazy right hand but Payne sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A left lands for Baird.
Payne is rocked!
Baird scores with a shot to the body.
Baird grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Payne takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Baird cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
