A fine choice. Ramon Rivas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Thomas Stoner's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoner misses with a few strikes there.
Stoner thows a body shot but no joy.
Stoner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rivas. Rivas circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Ramon Rivas has been cut.
A combination from Stoner does no damage.
Rivas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stoner slaps away a takedown attempt from Rivas, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stoner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rivas circles away quickly and effectively.
Stoner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stoner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rivas.
Stoner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stoner misses with a wild combination.
Stoner tries to bum rush Rivas with a series of wild strikes but Rivas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stoner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rivas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rivas looks for a takedown but Stoner sprawls well.
Rivas lands a left and a right that send Stoner crashing to the mat, dazed. Rivas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Thomas Stoner has been cut.
Stoner is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stoner throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rivas counters with a head kick that wobbles Stoner - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Rivas sends him down. This one is all over!
