Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Bridges!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Muay Thai!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bridges checks a leg kick.
Thai throws a sloppy head kick and Bridges moves out of range easily.

Bridges scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Thai is pushing Bridges's head away, looking to escape. Bridges manages to hold on to the position though.

Thai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bridges. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bridges thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Thai gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bridges won't let Thai get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Thai looks gassed!
Bridges wants to take his opponent's back but Thai doesn't allow it.
Thai really wants to buck Bridges off and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thai is squirming around, avoiding Bridges's attempts to control the action.
Thai is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Bridges has taken his back!

Thai is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bridges gets his way!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thai trying to get back to his feet but Bridges is in full control for now.

Thai wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Bridges drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Thai 's chin! Thai is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!
