Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Bordes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ciro Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia has chosen Aint no Sunshine as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Bordes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ciro Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bordes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Garcia moves into the clinch.

Garcia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bordes shoots in for a takedown but Garcia shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Garcia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bordes tries to avoid it but Garcia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bordes to the ground. Bordes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bordes swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Garcia counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Bordes shoots and misses

and Garcia counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Bordes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bordes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Garcia just stands there and leans against the cage.

Garcia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bordes gets a clinch.
Garcia tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bordes avoids it.
Garcia crunches a lovely knee into Bordes's ribcage.

Bordes ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bordes no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Garcia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garcia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Garcia tries to free his leg and advance position but Bordes is retaining full guard.

Garcia decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Bordes misses with a takedown

and Garcia counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Garcia.
Bordes tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bordes is breathing heavily.

Garcia breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia throws a head kick but Bordes moves out of range.
Andre Bordes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bordes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Garcia counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Garcia looking to finish!

Bordes is rocked!
Garcia passes Bordes's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Oh Bordes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Garcia connects with a nice short shot to Bordes's temple.

Garcia seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Bordes is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
